- Fumigation agency must have valid license issued by State Government and accredited by the Plant Protection Adviser of the Government of India, Directorate of Plant Protection, Quarantine & Storage, Faridabad.
- All fumigation operations must be performed under the supervision of an accredited fumigation operator.
- Ensure not to undertake fumigation in forbidden places or of forbidden commodities
- Maintain proper records on stock/use of fumigants and issue fumigation certificates after ensuring fumigations are carried out in effective manner
- Do not enter the fumigated area until the recommended re-entry time has passed.
- Ventilate the space thoroughly after the safe re-entry time by opening windows and doors, if advised.
